Our technicians regulated the action, shaped the hammers, cleaned the strings and soundboard, adjusted, aligned and voiced the hammers. Our furniture people went over the finish, buffing out any scratches then gave the piano a french Polish (applied several coats of hand rubbed padding lacquer then went over it with very fine steel wool to give piano an even sheen and a like new look). This hand-made custom exclusive Schimmel Pegasus Piano is one of only fourteen that were made ten years ago for high-profile people like Eddie Murphy, Lenny Kravitz, and Prince. It sports an ergonomically curved keyboard, over 200 strings under a total tension of 176,520 newtons, and a key assembly composed of 10,000 pieces. Professor Luigi Colani reimagined the traditional 88 keys and gave the classic grand piano a futuristic organic shape with some virtuoso upgrades. The Pegasus features a ergonomic curved keyboard ( i. e. the keys exhibit a slight curvature ) that encompasses 7 1/4 octaves, a electrically operated hydraulic lid that allows you to control the specific amount of projection desired, a fallboard “soft close” system, the original Schimmel Triplex Scale “CAPE” precision soundboard tri-dimensionally curved and formed with a “high performance” back assembly with tension collector, a Sostenuto pedal (middle pedal), a fully-adjustable integrated black leather upholstered stool extendible in width, height, and distance to the keyboard, and a hard-wearing professional lacquer finish resulting in a grand piano of breathtaking elegance.

Paula and Sonny’s Family Connection

In addition to sharing a love for yoga and a genuine interest in helping others achieve health and wellness, Paula and Sonny have a unique bond. They are an aunt and nephew with years of yoga practice supporting their respective areas of expertise.

Sonny has a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi. With over 40 years of teaching both piano and yoga, he has applied his expertise to create the Piano Yoga method.

At 80 years old, and with over forty years of practicing yoga, Paula Montalvo is a retired Family Counselor and certified Yoga instructor.

Yoga has been a constant in both Paula and Sonny’s lives. They created their innovative yoga DVD’s independently on separate coasts (California and New York) and have decided to share their methods at a reduced cost so others can also relax and enjoy the benefits of yoga.
